The environmental issues and challenges facing our society are greater today than ever before. Government officials and business leaders are increasingly concerned about the impact of climate change and the need to adopt a sustainable approach for the use of natural resources. AEM is proud to provide industry recognized environmental experts and solutions to government agencies, non-profit organizations, and Fortune 500 companies to help tackle these challenges. We work with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Department of State, Department of the Navy, World Bank, Algenol, and other organizations to support them with a full scope of services, ranging from the development and support of IT tools and databases utilized for tracking compliance with federal regulations to the design of the largest "direct-to-ethanol" fuel production facility in the world.

Our experience has taught us that it is the combination of people, processes, and technology that determine the ultimate success of any project; and that of these, having the right people on the project are the most important. While the views and opinions of everyone on the client’s team are important, we understand that it is the leadership team that sets the tone, the pace, and the environment for success. Our passion for environmental protection and sustainability starts with AEM founder and CEO, Dr. Sharon deMonsabert, a tenured professor of environmental engineering at George Mason University. Dr. deMonsabert is a recognized expert in environmental systems analysis, engineering management, water quality modeling, technical entrepreneurship, and sustainable development. Our staff includes recognized experts in the fields of utility operations and resilience, pollution prevention, site remediation, regulatory compliance and conservation stewardship.

Our environmental specialists bring hands-on experience to all aspects of major environmental programs - from conducting regulatory compliance assessments, exploring ways to increase renewable energy production, educating building managers on how to increase energy efficiency, to water conservation, and sustainability. We are uniquely positioned to provide environmental expertise and the technical know how to define requirements and implement complex databases, and Internet applications, required to provide management and communication tools for environmental stewardship.
