Today’s energy challenges impact every industry, cut across every facet of our society, and have gone unresolved for far too long. As energy prices continue to soar and concerns about national security and environmental sustainability remain unaddressed, there is an immediate need for energy conservation and the advancement of alternative fuels and renewable energy. AEM is pleased to have been selected by a variety of clients to help them address these challenges. Federal and commercial organizations rely on our subject matter expertise, practical real-world experience in taking concepts from the laboratory and pilot plant scale operations to full-field production capability, and our ability to implement IT systems to support energy related programs.
Our engineers include Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professionals (AP) who are recognized by the Green Building Certification Institute. This provides our customers with the assurance that their building needs are being met by individuals who are recognized as leaders in the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.
We provide energy management support to a variety of organizations including: the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Washington Gas Light Company, the U.S. Department of State, and Algenol Biofuels. We effectively apply innovative IT solutions to our energy management engagements. An example of this is our Energy Auditor product, which is a Web-enabled technology that is used by AEM engineers and facility managers throughout nearly 300 countries to access current energy use and target reduction information, assist in managing fiscal resources, help identify feasible opportunities to reduce energy and operating costs, and track progress towards meeting established goals.
